Form 16 Updates 2025: By June 15, 2025, most salaried individuals are expected to receive their Form 16 for the financial year 2024-25. While the core structure of Form 16 remains unchanged, a few key updates this year may impact how you file your income tax return.

Form 16 will follow the same format, but salaried taxpayers must now maintain supporting documents for deductions and exemptions, especially under the old tax regime. The return filing deadline has been extended to September 15, 2025. Missing documents could lead to denial of deductions.
To make filing easier, our team at SS Auditors can assist with documentation and return filing support.
Essential Documents for Tax Deductions
Keep copies (digital or physical) of:
Section 80C proofs (ELSS, PPF, LIC)
Rent receipts for HRA
Home loan interest certificates
If you're unsure how to organize or submit these, SS Auditors can guide you through the process.
Why Form 16 Still Matters
Form 16, issued by your employer, remains essential for ITR filing. It includes:
Part A: Basic details, PAN, TAN, and tax summary
Part B: Salary breakup, exemptions, and deductions
If you've changed jobs, you’ll get separate Part A documents from each employer. Lost your Form 16? Contact your employer—or reach out to SS Auditors for help retrieving and filing.
Without Form 16, filing becomes complex. Let SS Auditors assist you with accurate, timely return filing.
