AGMARK Registration In India
AGMARK is a quality certification mark issued by the government of India, levied on the agricultural
products to ensure that all these products meet the quality standards assured by the government of
India. It is a combination of two words - AG & MARK. AG means agriculture and MARK means
certification. It has been proposed in the grading & marking act of agricultural products, 1937 & the
convention act, 1987. AGMARK is approved by Directorate of Marketing and inspection.
Who Can Apply For Agmark Registration?
Any individual or body of individuals wants to start the grading & marketing business of agricultural
products can apply for AGMARK registration. In case, you are involved in the business of domestic trade
or export market, AGMARK registration is mandatory for you.

The documents required for AGMARK registration is given below –
1. Demand draft of Rs.1000 as registration fees.
2. Copy of the product enquiry report from a lab recognized by AGMARK authority.
3. Copy of the company registration (https://www.finacbooks.com/company-registration) or company’s
incorporation certificate issued by registrar of companies.
4. In case the applicant is company, copy of MOA is needed.
5. In case the applicant is a partnership firm, copy of partnership deed is needed.
6. Name of the applicant
7. Name & address of the organization
8. Name of the product for which the applicant wants quality certification
9. Product sample
10. Last year turnover of the company
11. The productive capacity of the present & previous year

Agmark Certification Process
1.In the first stage, applicant needs to fill the application form and prepare the documents required by the
AGMARK authority.
2.In the second stage, applicant needs to file the application at the regional AGMARK certification
authority.
3.In the third stage, applicant needs to submit the hard copy of the application along with the required
documents.
4.Submitted application and the documents will be reviewed by the AGMARK certification authority in the
fourth stage.
5.If everything is found in order after reviewing the submitted application, the inspector will visit the
physical location of the applicant for the inspection.
6.After successful inspection, the AGMARK certification mark will be issued to the applicant. It is issued by
the AGMARK certification authority within 30-40 days of the submission of the application.
